Survivors from the original Battletoads, they're back to even the score. Tweak their beaks with a well placed punch and watch these feathered fiends fall.
~ Official description from the manual

The Raven is an enemy in Battletoads/Double Dragon. Originally from Battletoads, they appear during certain portions of Level 3, Ropes 'N' Roper, in which the player must rappel through certain chasms.

Ravens are generally encountered perched along the walls of long chasms that descend deep beneath the surface in Level 3, Ropes 'N' Roper. They will get alerted once the player is in their vicinity, at which point they will take flight and start attacking. They will first attempt to fly to the top of the screen and then start performing swoops at the player.

The best moment to deal with them is while they are still perched and non-hostile. The Dragons' "Side Wall Smash" or the 'Toads' "BT Bashing Ball" are very useful for quickly dealing with them and for crowd control when overwhelmed.

Similar to previous Battletoads games where these enemies have also appeared, they can be defeated with just one hit, which will send their bodies flying all across the chasm. A score multiplier will activate if the player once again hits the falling bird, which will yield bonus points that will increase for each subsequent hit they can deal to it without missing; these being: 100, 200, 500, 750, 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 7,500, and finally a 1UP.
