The Dragon Dojo is a location in the Double Dragon animated series. It is a large classic Japanese-style mansion in the middle of Metro City where the "Dragon Master" resides.

Overview[]

The Dragon Dojo is a large classic Japanese-style mansion that heavily contrasts with the rest of the urban scenery of Metro City. It is first entered from the street by a large courtyard which leads to a double metal gate bearing the emblem of the "Double Dragon". A large red training mat in the main hall, decorated with dragon-themed statues and vases around it, leads the visitor from the entrance to a staircase in front of a large mural that once again bears the emblem of the "Double Dragon" over a yin and yang symbol, representing the duality of the discipline. The master of the dojo, known as the "Dragon Master", is usually seen sitting atop the staircase protecting the fabled Dragon Sword.

It is in this place where John Lee left Billy, one of his twin sons, to the care of his master, the Oldest Dragon. The child, who bore the sign of the dragon on his chest, was thus raised as the master's own son and was taught to live under the "Code of the Dragon". 18 years later and after an arduous training, the Oldest Dragon presumably finally passed away, although not before naming Billy the new "Dragon Master" of the dojo.

Despite its vintage-looking architecture, the building counts with a very technologically advanced defense system which is activated via a control panel inside the mouth of a dragon statue. When activated, thick metal panels descend to protect the exterior walls and three mobile turrets emerge from the top of the building, which shoot devastating laser rays that are able to subdue even heavy-armored vehicles.
